(GSM) – World Cup finalists the Netherlands added another three points to their Euro 2010 qualifying account, beating Moldova 0-1 on Friday.

The Dutch, who beat San Marino and Finland in the first two group games, struggled to find the target at Chisinau’s Zimbru stadium.

Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar missed two big chances before scoring from a much smaller opportunity in the 37th minute as the forward’s strike from about 15 meters went in from the far post.

Bert van Marwijk’s men continued to attack and Wesley Sneijder almost scored in the second half but had his effort well saved by Moldova keeper Namasco. Not much later, defender Johnny Heitinga headed onto the crossbar.

The Netherlands currently top Group E with nine points from three games, and play their next game at home against Sweden, next Tuesday.
