New Cardiff signing Sala is missing

Sky News has confirmed this morning that Cardiff City Football Club are investigating reports that Emiliano Sala was on board a light aircraft that went missing in the English channel. The plane was flying from France to Cardiff, with Sala believed to be on his way to completing his £15 million move to South Wales. Fans from clubs up and down the country have taken to social media in order to send their best wishes to both the Bluebirds and Sala’s family as they await more news.

The 28 year old’s move from Nantes would break the £11 million total they paid for Gary Medel back in 2013. Sala was with Nantes for four years and during that time, he was able to establish himself as a firm fan favourite.

This is a developing story as fans and media members alike continue to hold their breath and await more news, with early reports suggesting that a search is officially underway.
