Nico Paz will return to Real Madrid from Como in the summer of 2026, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has claimed that Paz will not move to Madrid in the January transfer window, but the Spanish and European powerhouse will exercise their buy-back clause in the Argentina international attacking midfielder’s contract at the end of the season.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Real Madrid are already in agreement with Nico Paz to rejoin the club.
“Paz wants to go to Real Madrid, but despite what they said months ago, there will be no January deal.
“It has always been a topic for the summer… we will see if the club triggers the buyback clause or tries to reach an agreement with Como.”
Paz has scored six goals and given six assists in 16 Serie A matches for Como so far this season. Cesc Fabregas’s side are currently sixth in the league table with 27 points from 16 games, just five points behind fourth-placed Juventus, who have played 17 matches.
