No late deals for Bayern Munich

“It’s clear that other clubs don’t want their good players to leave. We have a big squad now, almost all of the players are fit again.

“Franck [Ribery] and Arjen [Robben] have been training, so I have to leave one, two at home anyway. That’s why it does not make sense for us to get three or four more players.”

Those are the words of Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac, who essentially confirmed that there will be no late business for the German giants. Bayern have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi throughout the course of the January transfer window, but they weren’t quite able to get a deal over the finish line.

Hudson-Odoi has spent the last few weeks reminding the Chelsea faithful why he’s such a valuable member of the squad, with many fans pleading with Sarri to keep hold of him.

Bayern, on the other hand, face a battle in the next few months just to keep hold of the Bundesliga title.
