Parma and Bayern in Zirkzee talks

Parma are in talks with Bayern Munich over a potential loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee, according to Sky in Italy.

Having passed through several Dutch clubs at different youth levels, the 19-year-old joined Bayern’s Under-17 side in 2017 and kicked on from there, earning first-team promotion last summer. This season, he has made a total of only five appearances across all competitions, with no goals to his name yet. Primarily a striker, standing 6’4” tall, Zirkzee boasts considerable talent, but it’s obvious he isn’t playing much at the moment.

Any deal between Bayern and Parma for the youngster is very likely to include an option to make it permanent in the summer.

Zirkzee was previously linked with Everton, with reports suggesting he was on his way to Goodison Park on loan with an obligation to buy, but Sky say their insiders at the Merseyside club informed them that the story was false, and that Everton had no intention of moving for Zirkzee in January.
