Pogba open to Juventus return

Manchester United were defeated by Juventus at Old Trafford on Tuesday, but Paul Pogba had a warm reception from his former teammates, the club and the fans, and according to Turin-based Tuttosport, he remains open to the possibility of returning to the Italian title holders next year.

Pogba arrived to Old Trafford in 2016 for the at the time world-record fee of around €100million, but he has so far failed to live up to the expectations such a transfer imposed. Further more, he is reportedly in the middle of a sharp conflict with manager Jose Mourinho due to the team’s underwhelming start to the season, and he’s been linked with a move away for a while. Apart from Juventus, Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been mentioned as his potential destinations.

The Italian outlet, however, claims Pogba is keen on returning to Turin, being impressed by coach Massimiliano Allegri and excited by the prospect of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo. They also say Juventus have marked him as their primary target for the next summer’s transfer window.
