According to L’Equipe, Paul Pogba’s days at Manchester United are (definitely) numbered.
After numerous speculations last summer about the Frenchman’s future destination, the most prominent one of which was Real Madrid, the 26-year-old ended up staying at Old Trafford. However, L’Equipe now seems to believe time has come to reopen the subject of Pogba’s move and has devoted its front page to the footballer with the caption “Chant du Départ”, which literally means “Song of Departure”. What is more, the French publication claims that, given that the French international will be in his last year of contract at the end of the current season, United are more likely to want to sell him.
This, however, is somewhat contradictory to the fact that, presently being eight points away from a top-four spot in the Premier League and continuing to struggle to win games, Red Devils should be looking to keep the currently-injured-but-soon-coming-back-from-an-ankle-injury midfielder rather than letting him go.
The publication goes on to claim that Pogba is determined to leave England, probably next summer, and that Santiago Bernabeu remains his first-choice destination.
