Portsmouth, Adams still pushes to have Pennant

Portsmouth manager Tony Adams hopes he can convince Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant to move to Fratton Park.

But “If he doesn’t want to then it is the same situation as Jermain Defoe – I won’t take him on board if he doesn’t want it,” said Adams.

“I need players working hard and scrapping and in it together”.
