Liverpool made it six wins from six Premier League games as they eased past Southampton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s side went in front after ten minutes after Welsey Hoedt turned the ball into his own net, with Joel Matip doubling their advantage with his first goal since last November soon after.

Mo Salah made it three on the stroke of half time and that’s how things stayed, with the Merseysiders reclaiming top spot as the only side in the division to have a one hundred percent record.

The Reds can now be backed at a price of 7/4 to win the league for what would be the first time in twenty-nine years.

Slip

Chelsea failed to maintain their perfect start to the campaign after only managing a goalless draw against West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

Maurizio Sarri’s side dominated in all area’s but could not find away past the Hammers, who kept a clean sheet for the first time since holding Manchester United to a draw at the London Stadium in May.

Manchester City move above the Blues on goal difference after thumping Cardiff City 5-0 in South Wales.

Three goals in twelve minutes gave the champions a comfortable lead going into half-time while Riyad Mahrez came of the bench to grab his first and second strikes for the club.

It was the tenth time the Citizens have scored five goals or more in the Premier League since Pep Guardiola was named as their manager and they already have five more than their nearest rivals this term.

Watford are back in the Champions League places though they had to settle for a draw at Fulham after Aleksander Mitrovic cancelled out Andre Gray’s early opener while Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from three straight defeats in all competitions by beating Brighton and Hove Albion.

Form

Arsenal are level on points with their North London rivals after beating Everton by two goals to nil on Sunday afternoon.

Second half strikes from Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang secured a fifth straight victory for Unai Emery’s side, who leapfrog Manchester United after they had to settle for a draw from their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fred gave the Red Devils a first half lead – sublimely finishing to open his account for the club though Joao Moutinho followed suit with his first goal in England eight minutes into the second half.

First win

Burnley are both off the bottom and out of the relegation zone after thumping Bournemouth 4-0 while Leicester City came from a goal down to beat Huddersfield Town 3-1.

Finally Newcastle United remain in trouble after picking up only their second point of the season at drawing 0-0 with Crystal Palace.
