PSG pushed for Mane signing

According to a recent report from RMC Sport, an advisor to Sadio Mane has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain attempted to sign the forward.

We now know that Mane has completed a switch from England to Germany after signing for Bayern Munich from Liverpool. Alas, it appears as if it all could’ve been so very different, with Paris Saint-Germain actually being the ones who lined up a first bid to try and sign Senegal’s main man.

Perhaps this shows that PSG no longer have the kind of pull they once did with regards to transfers on this scale, or maybe Mane always had his eyes set on Bayern. Either way it could prove to be a transfer that shapes the upcoming Champions League campaign in an intriguing way, especially with both Bayern and PSG being viewed as favourites to win it all.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will just hope they can build back better in his absence.
