Brazil coach Dunga on Tuesday called up midfielder Ramires in place of injured striker Robinho for the Olympics.

Spanish champions Real Madrid had on Monday asked the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) not to call up Robinho for next month's Games after he suffered an injury to his pubic bone.

Ramires, 21, plays for Brazilian first division side Cruzeiro.

The CBF were furious that Real Madrid left it until the last minute before refusing to release Robinho, just ahead of the deadline for the Brazilian squad for the Games being forwarded to world football's governing body FIFA.
