Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey has today (Monday) signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus, according to multiple sources.
Much has been going on with the Welsh international since Unai Emery replaced Arsene Wenger in the managerial hot-seat at the Emirates. During the summer, Emery spoke about wanting to build a team around him as the main driving force on the pitch, and it seemed his future would lie with the Gunners for a long time yet.
However, it all fell apart somewhere along the line and the club pulled out of the negotiations over a new deal, withdrawing the offer they had put on the table.
Juventus has since been reported the most (by far) as his next destination, though Liverpool and Manchester United have been mentioned too. However, as David Ornstein of BBC claims, the guesswork is now over and Ramsey has actually pledged his allegiance to Juventus from this summer on. The respected journalist also says the midfielder, coming as a free agent, will be earning over £400,000 per week.
Meanwhile, Gabriele Marcotti, who works for ESPN, The Times and Corriere dello Sport, says that according to his sources, that figure should be significantly smaller.
