RB Leipzig have completed and confirmed the signing of Brian Brobbey from Ajax. He will arrive to the Red Bull Arena at the end of the season and officially become a Leipzig player on July 1st.
The 19-year-old prefers to play as a centre-forward, but he is a versatile attacking player fully capable of making an impact from either flank as well. He is a product of the Ajax academy, which gives him great credentials and makes him an exciting prospect for the future. Leipzig are known for identifying and bringing in such players, and sporting director Markus Krosche pointed out that this is a player that fits the profile the Bundesliga club are after.
Brobbey was promoted to the first team last year in October, and has gone on to wear the Ajax shirt on 11 occasions so far, scoring four goals and assisting twice. He was a part of the Netherlands Under-17 team which won the European Championship in 2018 and 2019.
