Manchester United star Paul Pogba is apparently serious about wanting to play for Real Madrid next season. That is according to Marca, who also say that Mino Raiola, the France international’s agent, is looking into the possibility of a Santiago Bernabeu move and that Pogba’s days at United “could be numbered”.
The World Cup winner recently expressed his view that playing for Real Madrid under current head coach Zinedine Zidane would be a dream for any player, sparking numerous reports speculating on his future.
Real Madrid are, however, in two minds about him. They are firstly concerned about the potential fee the Premier League side would be demanding. The arrival of Pogba to Old Trafford in 2016 was a world record transfer at the time, and seeing his influence on the pitch grow under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they probably wouldn’t be willing to part with him for anything less than what they paid.
On the other hand, Real are apparently aware that there are very few players in the world similar to Pogba, and they wonder if the opportunity to sign him now is too good to miss out on.
