Real Madrid are watching Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and thinking about a potential swoop, according to Spanish publication El Desmarque.
The 19-year-old was the subject of strong interest from Bayern Munich throughout last season as the Bundesliga champions sought to add another young winger to the ranks already containing Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, in order to deal more effectively with the loss of long-serving stars Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Chelsea, however, held their ground firmly after selling Eden Hazard to Real and with a transfer ban preventing them from signing a replacement. The young winger signed a new five-year contract this September.
That, however, doesn’t seem to be deterring Real from their interest with head coach Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez putting Hudson-Odoi on the list of closely monitored potential targets. Apart from his, that list also contains the names of Villarreal forward Samu Chikwueze, Erling Haaland of Red Bull Salzburg and Everton striker Moise Kean.
