Real won’t give up on Pogba

Though their efforts to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United failed this summer, Real Madrid are still very much interested in the Frenchman and will try to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu at some point in the future, according to AS.

The question of whether or when Pogba would be leaving Old Trafford has been open for a long time now. Last year he was heavily linked with Barcelona, only for their fiercest rivals Real to express their interest soon afterwards. The speculations exploded all over the press across Europe during the spring, when he revealed he felt himself ready to try something new, and expressed his opinion that every player would love to play for Real Madrid.

There could be a number of reasons why the move didn’t happen this summer, but the most likely one was that the La Liga giants simply couldn’t afford to pay what United were asking, especially having spent over €300 million early in the window.
