According to AS, Real Madrid will not be making any signings in the January transfer window.
The Spanish giants have been linked with a large number of players, as is always the case, and some of them have been mentioned as targets for the winter window, including Paul Pogba of Manchester United, Donny van de Beek of Ajax and Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur. But Real, or club president Florentino Perez to be more precise, has decided that no new names will be arriving to the Santiago Bernabeu in the middle of the season.
Perez has apparently received assurances that the squad has quite enough material for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign, with at least two players covering every position on the pitch. He has therefore decided to keep the transfer funds intact at the moment and focus on additions at the end of the season. But for the time being, those who arrived this year for a combined fee of over €300 million will be given a chance to prove their worth.
