According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid are open to selling Karim Benzema in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Spanish outlet report that the Champions League holders are worried with Benzema’s lack of form lately, despite the Frenchman scoring five goals in the opening four games of the season. Since then, Real have played four more games and the striker failed to find the target in any of them.
Having spent five years with Lyon, Benzema arrived to Santiago Bernabeu in 2009, which means he is currently playing his 10th season with Real. In that time he has put on the famous white shirt 421 times and scored a total of 197 goals in all competitions.
However, he is set to turn 31 in December, and Los Blancos would apparently like to replace him with a younger player. Rodrigo Moreno of Valencia CF and Mauro Icardi of Inter Milan have both been recently linked with a move to the Spanish capital.
