Real won’t engage in bidding war over Jović

Real Madrid refuse to be drawn into a bidding war over the services of Luka Jović, Sport have reported.

The Spanish giants had reportedly agreed personal terms with the Serbia international, believing that an offer of around €60 million would be enough to persuade Eintracht Frankfurt to sell. However, it appears now that interest from elsewhere, most notably Paris Saint-Germain, has driven the price upwards and it’s now reached almost €100 million.

Real are not interested in signing the striker for that much money. They actually value him around €50 million due to the fact that he has only spent a season in one of Europe’s top five leagues. They are willing to go some way above that, but not to pay double what they believe he’s worth.

Real’s arch-rivals Barcelona were also reportedly in for the 21-year-old as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez, but they’ve  withdrawn their interest due to the price being driven up as well.
