Marseille striker Loic Remy has insisted that he is happy at the Ligue 1 side, despite links to Tottenham and Arsenal.

The France international, who missed Euro 2012 through injury, has been in explosive form for his club in recent seasons, netting 20 goals last campaign.

The north London rivals have been credited with an interest in the striker in recent months after several eye-catching performances, with former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp scouting him on numerous occasions but, although not completely ruling out a transfer, Remy is looking forward to the new season with the Stade Velodrome outfit.

The striker told Canal+: “For now, I am very proud to wear this shirt.

“It is not news that I could leave. But we’ll see. I am preparing very well for a new season with my club.”

The 25-year-old has always plied his trade in his home country, making the breakthrough with Lyon, before moving onto Lens, Nice and finally Marseille, with a healthy scoring record at each side he has represented.
