Richarlison agrees new Everton contract

Richarlison has agreed a new contract with Everton, the Merseyside club’s sporting director Marcel Brands has revealed in a club interview.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Brands said Everton remain committed to the long-term plans for the future they have in place, despite the recent poor string of results, and in relation to that, he confirmed the news regarding the Brazil international.

Since his arrival to Goodison Park in 2018, he has made a total of 53 appearances and scored 19 goals, playing across the front line. He was linked with Manchester United mostly, but also with the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, AC Milan, and most bizarrely, Liverpool.

However, it seems his immediate future remains in the north-west of England, and he and his teammates are facing a tough task of turning the season around. They are currently in 16th place with 14 points to their name from 13 games, seven of which have been defeats.
