Rodgers rules out Leicester sales in January

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has ruled out any potential departures of his stars in the January transfer window.

Leicester are on terrific form at the moment, sitting in second place in the Premier League table with 26 points from 12 games to their name. Last summer they cashed in £80 million by selling Harry Maguire to Manchester United. They replaced the England international with Caglar Soyuncu and never looked back, with the newcomer fitting in well straight away. Consequently, Soyuncu has been linked with Manchester City (along with left-back Ben Chilwell) and Arsenal lately, while attacking midfielder James Maddison is reportedly of interest to Manchester United.

But speaking to the press ahead of the Foxes’ trip to Brighton on Saturday, Rodgers said the club has no intention of letting anyone leave in January. He believes his squad is strong, but if they find an option to improve it further they will act. If not, he is happy to continue working with the players already at his disposal, and there will be no departures.
