AS Roma are interested in signing Real Betis’ Fabian Ruiz, according to Corriere della Sera.
The midfielder has spent his entire career so far at Betis (apart from an 18-match loan spell with Elche), and has made 57 appearances in total, finding the net three times in the process. Apart from his usual role in central midfield, he is also capable of deputizing as a winger.
Having impressed at his current club during the 2017/18 season, Fabian has been a reported target for a number of top clubs, including the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Napoli. Roma already tried to negotiate a deal to bring him to the Stadio Olimpico in January, but the offer of €15million that they were willing to pay wasn’t deemed nearly enough by Betis, so he stayed put.
Now, the report claims the Italian club will have to double their January offer if they are to secure the services of the 22-year-old.
