Rooney: Solskjaer or Pochettino should get United job

“Ole Gunnar’s a fantastic person,”

“I think the club will have a decision to make at the end of the season, and it’d be nice to see if Ole’s going to continue with this form, and get a shot at the job on the payment basis.

“But if not, if the club go to choose from somewhere else, then I think in my opinion Pochettino would be the right guy.”

Those are the words of former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, who has given his thoughts on the current managerial situation at the club. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to get off to a great start as manager, but even though that’s the case, there are still fans who would rather see Mauricio Pochettino take over as boss.

Wayne Rooney, who is now with DC United, was with United for 13 years between 2004 and 2017, becoming the club’s all time record goalscorer in the process.
