Competition: League playoff final
Market: Rotherham win
Odds: 6/5 @ Bet365
On Sunday afternoon Shrewsbury and Rotherham will meet at Wembley with just one more place in the Championship up for grabs.
For Paul Warne’s Rotherham side, after immediately battling back from a horrific year in the Championship last season, The Millers have valiantly battled back and surpassed their expectations this year. After finishing fourth in League One this season, The Reds have booked their place at Wembley and will travel to the capital filled with confidence. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Scunthorpe in the semi-final, Rotherham have now won six of their last eight in all competitions and also won their last meeting with Shrewsbury 1-0 back in February.
As for Paul Hurst’s Shrewsbury side, although many believe that The Shrews will be disappointed not to have secured automatic promotion, Hurst’s side done an impressive job to secure third spot in League One. However, although they came past Charlton in the semi-finals, Shrewsbury have now won just one of their last six matches away from Montgomery Waters Meadow and have already suffered Wembley heartache this year. Back in April, The Shrews fell to a 1-0 loss to Lincoln in the Checkatrade Trophy final.
