Sanchez still has United future – Solskjaer

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Alexis Sanchez could still have a future with the club, despite joining Inter Milan on a season-long loan.

Speaking to the press ahead of his team’s trip to the south coast of England where they play Southampton today (Saturday), the Norwegian was asked directly whether the Chilean had a future at the club. His response was positive, and he elaborated by pointing out that it was, after all, a one-season loan, and that Alexis is expected to go to Inter and represent Manchester United by acting in a professional manner. Once the loan is over, the forward’s return to the club and a future at Old Trafford is definitely on the table.

Sanchez is widely considered as one of the biggest disappointments when it comes to transfers in recent years. He was a vital player for Arsenal during his three and a half years at the Emirates, but after moving to United in January 2018, the 30-year-old only managed to score five goals in 45 appearances.
