Sane, Jesus to leave City?

According to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito TV, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus have asked to leave Manchester City this summer.

Apparently, the list of players who have done the same stretches to seven or eight names, following the Premier League’s defending champions’ exit from the Champions League at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.

Sergio Aguero’s hold over the role of City’s main striker doesn’t seem to be loosening as he leads the league’s top goalscorers’ chart with 19 strikes. Jesus has been reduced to a backup role, and further more, he has all but lost his place in Brazil’s starting XI because of it, to Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino.

Sane was instrumental in City’s run to the Premier League title last season, but this term, the rise of Bernardo Silva and the form of Raheem Sterling have kept the Germany international out of the starting XI more times than he’s ready to accept.

In that fatal clash against Spurs, Sane played only the last six minutes, while Jesus remained on the bench throughout.
