Kasper Schmeichel could be looking to leave Leicester City due to not being happy with manager Claude Puel.
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Kasper’s father, legendary Manchester United and Denmark goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel indicated he didn’t believe Puel is the right man for the job. He believes Leicester are a good club with good players, but with a manager who doesn’t know how to get the best out of them.
Schmeichel junior arrived at the King Power Stadium in 2011 from Leeds United, and he has now over 320 appearances for the Foxes under his belt. He was instrumental in their historic run to the Premier League title in 2015/16 which stunned the football world. He has also taken his father’s path in terms of international football, with 43 appearances in the Denmark goal for now.
His father believes Leicester’s rightful place in the league is somewhere from fifth to eighth place, but he doesn’t see Puel being the man to help them get there. Peter said Kasper likes to “challenge himself”, but he doesn’t want to leave England.
