Sevilla open to Jordan offers

Sevilla are prepared to listen to offers for Joan Jordan in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

The midfielder rose through the youth ranks at Espanyol and earned first-team promotion in 2015. He joined Real Valladolid on a season-long loan the following year, and when the deal expired, he made a permanent move to SD Eibar for €1 million. In the summer of 2019 he signed a four-year contract with Sevilla, for which the Andalusian club reportedly paid €14m.

A highly versatile player, Jordan is primarily a box-to-box midfielder, but he is capable of sitting deeper and shielding the back line, as well as playing further up as a number 10 if need be.

Even though his contract runs until the end of the 2022-23 season, Sevilla are prepared to talk about a potential sale with a number of Premier League clubs, most notably Arsenal, reportedly interested in signing the 26-year-old. Jordan has so far made 19 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga side this season, scoring once and assisting three times.
