Competition: Irish Premier Division

Market: Shamrock Rovers to score over 1.5 goals

Odds: 6/4 @ Bet 365

With the chance to move within touching distance of Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers will make the trip to Dalymount Park on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, although did manage to build off of their League Cup success with a dramatic 5-3 win over Finn Harps last weekend, there still remains plenty of concerns over the Bohs’ defensive issues. Picking up just Premier Divison victory since the end of April and on the verge of losing their prestigious third place, Keith Long’s men have shipped two or more goals in four of their previous five appearances and have failed to record a top-flight clean sheet in their last seven outings. Also losing three of their last four at Dalymount Park, Friday could prove to be another tough test for a struggling Bohemians outfit.

As for the visitors, while Shamrock may have been disappointed to have only picked up a point against Derry last weekend, the Rovers are enjoying an eye-catching run. With the chance to move within two points of league leaders Dundalk, a huge part of their recent revival has come down to their form in the final third. Bagging seven goals in their last three outings, Stephen Bradley will also be growing more impressed by Shamrock’s form on the road. Picking up back-to-back wins away at Finn Harps and UCD, we’re backing Friday’s visitors to enjoy another night outside of Dublin.
