Spurs blow as PSG eye up Moutinho

Tottenham Hotspur appear to have been dealt a major blow in ahead of the summer transfer window as talkSPORT is reporting big-spenders Paris Saint-Germain are lining up a move for Joao Moutinho.

Moutinho is currently plying his trade with Porto of course and has put in big performances in the Champions League this campaign.

Spurs have been keen on securing his signature for a while now as manager Andre Villas-Boas signed him when with the Portuguese outfit and it is though a move during the previous summer window broke down on deadline day.

The English Premier League side were looking to re-enter the market for him as well, but it doesn’t seem as though they are going to be able to match the funds of PSG.

Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of Moutinho’s and will be able to offer him a bumper contract as the Ligue 1 outfit are one of the richest in the world at the moment.

Also, PSG are challenging for titles and look as though they are going to get stronger and stronger as the years go on, so it might be an exciting move for the midfielder.

If his decision is for footballing reasons, then the Premier League looks to be the best option. As we know though, money talks.
