Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Robert Skov of FC Copenhagen, according to Sky Sports.
The 22 year old winger has been on impressive form this season, scoring a fantastic 24 goals in 38 games in all competitions for his club, 22 in 24 in the Danish Superligaen. Such numbers have naturally attracted a lot of attention, and Spurs aren’t the only Premier League team that have been following his progress. Watford, West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been watching him closely too.
The north London club are looking for a player who can step in and play behind their star striker Harry Kane, as well as on either flank in attack. Skov is an Under-21 international, but he was named in the 35-man provisional squad for the World Cup in Russia and he has trained with Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Copenhagen may have finished last in their Europa League group, but Skov was arguably their best player in the competition.
His contract with the Danish club is set to run until the summer of 2022, so a cut-price deal doesn’t look very likely at this point.
