Numerous reports claim Manchester United are considering Harry Kane as a potential transfer target in the summer, but according to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of selling their star striker to a Premier League rival for any money.
At the moment, United and Spurs are rivals in every sense of the word, being both involved in the race to secure Champions League football for next season. Spurs are currently fifth with 39 points, and United are third with 46, with Newcastle sitting in between with 41 to their name.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is keen on starting the talks over a new contract, with Kane’s current deal set to enter its final 12 months at the end of the season. But even if those talks don’t yield desired results, Levy will do whatever he can to prevent the England captain from leaving North London.
The 29-year-old recently became the club’s leading goalscorer of all time, hitting his 267th strike in all competitions to win the game against defending champions Manchester City.
