Liverpool push for Szoboszlai deal in race against time as Carvalho completes Leipzig loan
Liverpool are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig. Apparently, Newcastle have decided to pull out of the race and the Merseysiders are now competing only against time – the reported €70 million release clause in Szoboszlai’s contract expires when this day (Friday) ends.
The Hungarian attacking midfielder fits the profile Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants and it’s now up either to the two clubs to find an agreement, or up to Liverpool to trigger the said release clause.
Meanwhile, both clubs have confirmed that Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho has joined Leipzig on a season-long loan, apparently with no option for the Bundesliga side to make the deal permanent next summer.
Max Eberl:
🗣️ “Fábio is quick, agile, full of tricks and creative. He likes to get shots away and can also set his teammates up. We are looking forward to him improving our attacking game.” pic.twitter.com/AtGJoHPfI5

UPDATE: Liverpool have triggered the €70m release clause in the contract of Dominik Szoboszlai, according to all the relevant sources. The personal terms should not be a problem, and the next step is for the Hungary captain to undergo a medical, before the transfer is officially confirmed.
Brozovic accepts Al-Nassr proposal
Marcelo Brozovic has accepted the proposal to join Al-Nassr, according to several sources. The agreement between the Saudi club and Inter Milan was reached before, and all that remained was for the Croatian midfielder to decide on whether he wanted to go to the Middle East or remain with the Nerazzuri.
It seems the decision has been made – Brozovic has opted for a change of scenery and will undergo a medical. After that, he’s expected to sign a three-year contract with Al-Nassr.

Former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino will also be moving to Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian has reportedly reached an agreement over personal terms with Al-Ahli, and like Brozovic, he should sign a three-year contract with his new club once the medical is done.
Firmino spent eight illustrious seasons at Liverpool, winning the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the Premier League, the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup. He scored 111 goals and produced 79 assists in 362 games in all competitions for the Merseyside giants.

Azpilicueta set for Atletico move
Cesar Azpilicueta was reportedly on the verge of joining Inter Milan, waiting only for Chelsea to agree to terminate his contract as expected. However, Atletico Madrid moved quickly once it became clear the experienced defender would be available as a free agent and stole the show.
Azpilicueta will sign a two-year contract with the Rojiblancos.
