The Big Friday Premier League Quiz

The chaotic festive period in the Premier League is upon us, with some coronavirus-enforced postponements eating into the schedule.

There are eight fixtures to be played on Boxing Day, with Manchester United taking on Newcastle United a day later.

Most teams then face a congested, 48-to-72-hour turnaround before their next fixtures, much to the ire of some players and managers.

Liverpool were one of the teams who wanted the round of games on December 28, 29 and 30 to be postponed, but Jurgen Klopp’s side were due to start the Boxing Day action with an early home game against injury-hit Leeds United. However, that has been postponed due to a number of COVID-19 cases within the visitors’ squad.

Liverpool’s game being off means Manchester City would move six points clear at the top of the tree should they beat Leicester City, while Chelsea will look to halt their mini-slump when they take on Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

As you enjoy the festivities, why not unwrap our festive, Opta-powered quiz? The answers are at the end.
