While both north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham might be enjoying their own record-breaking starts to the 2022/23 campaign, some other clubs have really failed to fire themselves out of the traps.

As the likes of Nottingham Forest continue to struggle after ending their Premier League exile over the summer, Bruno Lage also found himself without a job after being sacked by Wolves earlier in the month.

With the 2022 Qatar World Cup now fast approaching and a lengthy break before heading into the New Year, some are expecting what could be a roller coaster festive period behind the scenes at top-flight clubs.

Listed below we have taken a glance at who the bookmakers have installed as their leading Premier League bosses to be axed sooner rather than later.

Steven Gerrard – Aston Villa

While Steven Gerrard might have been quick to praise his side’s display on Sunday afternoon, Aston Villa were eventually hit with a 2-0 loss at home against Chelsea and the mood in their camp appears to be at a worrying low.

Although the former Rangers boss might have been looking to mount a genuine European charge this season, Gerrard’s men currently hold just a one-point buffer from slipping into the relegation zone.

With many around the Midlands fearing that they could be set for a real bottom-three scrap this year, the ex-Liverpool icon is more than aware that there is growing pressure on his shoulders.

Along with mustering just a pair of victories from their opening 10 Premier League appearances, Villa have shown the same issues that haunted them for large spells prior to the summer break.

In fact, continuing on from last season, Gerrard’s struggling squad have picked up just a quartet of top-flight wins from their previous 21 attempts – a run that stems all the way back to March 10th.

Facing what looks set to be a must-win showdown against Fulham in midweek, Gerrard finds himself priced at 5/4 with 888sport to be the next Premier League manager on his way out.

Ralph Hasenhuttl – Southampton

Shocking former European champions Chelsea back on August 30th as they claimed a 2-1 victory at St. Mary’s, it appears that was just a minor boost for a struggling Southampton.

Although the Saints might have just about clung to a generous 1-1 draw at home against West Ham over the weekend, it does not cover what has been a nightmare Premier League run for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men.

Showing a string of issues on either side of September’s international break, the former RB Leipzig boss has found growing scrutiny on his position since opening the 2022/23 campaign.

Picking up just a single point from any of their previous five Premier League outings, Southampton have now freefallen into the bottom-three and they have recorded just two top-flight victories since the middle of April.

Struggling to find much of a clinical edge, the Saints have also gained a reputation for their rather glaring issues on the south coast.

With just a pair of Premier League wins at St. Mary’s over the past eight months, Hasenhuttl is currently priced in at 21/10 with Betfair to be given the chop.

Brendan Rodgers – Leicester

Although Leicester’s hierarchy might have made it clear that they have no interest in parting ways with Brendan Rodgers, it is hard to block out all of the noise that surrounds the one-time Liverpool boss.

While Rodgers might have guided Leicester to their first FA Cup crown just 17 months ago, the Foxes are enduring a woeful Premier League run and remarkably find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap.

Despite mustering a 0-0 stalemate at home against Crystal Palace over the weekend, Leicester have picked up just a single top-flight win since opening the 2022/23 campaign.

Not adding any real additions to their squad over the summer and leaving many around the King Power frustrated, some feel that Rodgers’ position is only becoming more untenable by the week.

Priced at 4/1 with Unibet to be the next Premier League manager to get axed, the 49-year-old knows that he is hanging onto his job by a thread.

Despite clinching back-to-back European finishes for the Foxes, Rodgers has seen his side drastically struggle to replicate that form and some have serious doubts that he is the man to turn the Leicester ship around.
