Atletico Madrid have lost another player ahead of their LaLiga clash with Barcelona after Lucas Torreira tested positive for coronavirus.
Torreira, signed on loan from Arsenal in October, underwent PCR tests for COVID-19 after returning from international duty with Uruguay.
His Uruguay team-mate Luis Suarez is already self-isolating due to contracting the virus, and now it has been confirmed Torreira too has tested positive.
Atleti announced the news on their official website and added that Torreira – who has made seven appearances in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side – is asymptomatic and complying with quarantine protocols.
