Varane to stay at Real Madrid?

According to a recent report from Marca, Zinedine Zidane’s presence has led to a series of Real Madrid players deciding that they want to remain at the Bernabeu. At the top of that list if Raphael Varane, who is apparently now content with the direction of the club. The 26 year old was once expected to look for a new challenge, after spending the last few years winning everything imaginable with Real. Varane is widely considered to be one of the best defenders in world football today, and this kind of thing makes you wonder just how much of an influence Zidane has over the club. Ever since returning things have seemingly been looking up, and while there’s still a long way to go, ensuring that their biggest names don’t pack up and go somewhere new is going to serve as a huge step in the right direction.
