Vazquez wants to stay at Real but admits uncertainty

Lucas Vazquez has expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid this summer, but he was unable to confirm that it would be the case.

Real have had a very poor season which they are set to finish without a single trophy. That is something that is not deemed acceptable by the club hierarchy, who have dismissed two head coaches in Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari during the campaign. With Zinedine Zidane bak in charge, the squad will reportedly go through an extensive summer overhaul.

Speaking to Radio Gacete, as relayed by Marca, Vazquez revealed his concern about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu. He said that no decisions have been made, and nobody knows what will happen when the transfer window opens.

The 27-year-old also said that Real always strive to sign top players and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is one of them, and he believes that Paul Pogba of Manchester United would be an “interesting signing” as well.
