Vlasic expects to leave Everton permanently

Everton’s Nikola Vlasic, currently on loan at CSKA Moscow, expects to leave the Merseyside club at the earliest opportunity.

The Croatian midfielder is enjoying his spell in Russia at the moment. Speaking to Croatian outlet Sportske novosti, he expressed a strong belief that this CSKA team has what it takes to win the league title this season. They sit only four points behind leaders Zenit.

He also spoke about his future, and he revealed that everything went wrong for him at Everton when Ronald Koeman was sacked as the manager and replaced by Sam Allardyce. He called the football that was being played under Allardyce ‘awful’, wondering if it could be called football at all. Vlasic believes he had no status at the club, and he certainly wasn’t getting minutes, and he believes there was no place for a player like him in such a system.

Vlasic says he has respect for current Everton boss Marco Silva and what he is trying to do, but he is being realistic about his own future at the club. He expects the club to accept the first concrete offer that comes their way.
