Wenger looking to head into La Liga in transfer window

Arsenal are ready to make a move for Atletico Madrid forward Adrian Lopez in the January transfer window, Talk Sport is today reporting.

Arsene Wenger seems as though he is on the lookout for a new front-man after not really replacing Robin van Persie when he left for Manchester United in the summer window.

He may have found his man in Lopez though as he does not seem all that happy in La Liga right now, much down to the fact that he is living in the shadow of star-striker Radamel Falcao.

The French manager signed Santi Cazorla from Malaga in the summer and is now preparing to launch another attack on the Spanish top flight.

There is no doubt that Lopez is a top-quality forward that could really excel in the English Premier League and of course Arsenal are in the Champions League this campaign – which his current employers are not.

The chance to play in the English Premier League is always tempting as well and with a number Spanish players currently at the Gunners, he may fit into the squad perfectly.

It is certainly a story to keep an eye on as this January transfer window draws closer.
