Wenger rules out further sales to United

Arsene Wenger is certain that he will never sell Manchester United another one of his players, Talksport understands.

Robin van Persie, who last summer swapped the Emirates for Old Trafford, again heaped misery on his former employers at the weekend – scoring the only goal in a result that saw the champions move to within five points of the league leaders.

The Arsenal boss has said that he didn’t want to sell the Netherlands international, though the fee was too good to turn down at the time and former United coach and fellow Dutchman Rene Meulensteen helped push the deal through.

However, Wenger has said that such business will not happen again on his watch.

Van Persie now has seven goals in the Premier League so far this season, one behind Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, and is priced at 9/2 to win a third successive Golden Boot.
