West Ham back in for Vazquez

West Ham United are ready to renew their interest in Sevilla midfielder Franco Vazquez.

New Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini was interested in signing the Argentina international during the summer as he laid out over £100m on nine new players.

However, Vazquez remained in Spain where he has been for the past two-and-a-bit seasons having signed from Palermo in the summer of 2016.

He has racked up eighty-nine appearances for the Seville side in all competitions, scoring an impressive fifteen goals.

Prior to his move to La Liga he spent five years on the books of Palermo and was the top-assist maker in Serie A for the 2014/15 season.

Internationally, having made to friendly appearances for Italy in 2015 he made his debut for Argentina – the country of his birth in a 3-0 win over Guatemala last month.

The Hammers host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon with the home win priced as 16/5.
