West Ham eyeing Milito move

West Ham United will make a surprise move for Inter Milan forward Diego Milito when the transfer window reopens next month, according to TalkSport.

The Hammers’, whose defeat to Liverpool at the weekend saw them slip dangerously close to the relegation zone, are keen on bringing in a new forward despite record signing Andy Carroll closing in on a return to fitness.

Their current selection of forwards have managed just three goals between them, with midfielder Ravel Morrison their top scorer with just three.

They have also been linked with moves for Emmanuel Adebayor and Demba Ba, but could turn to Milito, who has not started a league game for Walter Mazzarri’s side this season.

The 34 year old Argentina international has played just 57 minutes in Serie A this season, and scored his 76th and 77th goals for the club in the 7-0 win over Sassuolo back in September.
