Leah Williamson is determined to add the 2027 Women’s World Cup to her collection of silverware.
Williamson has already enjoyed a highly decorated career for both club and country, winning the Women’s Super League, Champions League, FA Cup and the Champions Cup with Arsenal.
And at international level, she has led England to back-to-back European Championships in 2022 and 2025, as well as clinching the inaugural Finalissima title in 2023.
That same year, she missed out on the World Cup in Australia with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, with England reaching the final, only to lose out to Spain.
But Williamson is resolute in her desire to complete her major trophy collection on the world stage in Brazil.
“The last thing on the list is obviously a World Cup. In the career that I’ve had, it’s the last trophy,” Williamson told BBC Sport.
