Wolves to go for Kessie again

Wolverhampton Wanderers are likely to make a second attempt at signing Franck Kessie from AC Milan in January, according to Sky Sports.

The Premier League club reportedly tried to make a deal happen very late in the summer transfer window, but they were unable to complete it in time. Their interest in the player, however, remains present.

For their part, Milan are keen on offloading the 22-year-old midfielder. His services have also attracted the interest of AS Monaco, and some reports went even as far as claiming a deal had been agreed, but it simply didn’t happen. Once regarded as one of the most promising rising stars of the Serie A, Kessie has failed to live up to such expectations at San Siro. He has, however, collected 35 caps for Ivory Coast, and he was excellent during his country’s involvement in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.

Perhaps the Premier League would indeed suit his rather physical approach to the game better.
