Russian giants Zenit St.Petersburg have completed the signing of Serbian international defender Aleksandar Lukovic from Udinese. Lukovic has signed a four year contract and has reportedly cost Zenit somewhere around eight million euros.

Lukovic started his career with Sloga Kraljevo and moved to Red Star Belgrade in 2002. He had loan spells with Jedinstvo Ub and Ascoli before permanently signing for Udinese in 2007.

Lukovic was part of the Serbia team at the 2010 World Cup. Coach Radomir Antic used him in the centre of defence along with Nemanja Vidic. Lukovic can play both as a left back and a centre half.
