Zidane approves Hazard deal

The potential transfer of Eden Hazard from Chelsea to Real Madrid has been a hot subject among media outlets for almost a year now, and it has constantly seemed that at some point it would become inevitable.

According to AS, Real head coach Zinedine Zidane has only just given a green light for his employers to make a move for the 28-year-old forward. There has been much talk of mutual admiration between Zidane and Hazard lately. Three of the four parties involved in a potential deal are now in favour of the move – Real, Zidane and Hazard. Only Chelsea still need convincing.

The Londoners are aware that if Hazard really wants to leave they won’t be able to stop him. If they don’t let him go now, he will enter the final 12 months of his contract and it’s very likely that they’d lose him next summer for free in that case. However, they are adamant not to part with the Belgian for anything less than £100 million, while Real are still hoping to get the deal done for €90 million maximum.
