Zidane doesn’t want Bale

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane apparently doesn’t want to work with Gareth Bale anymore.

According to Marca, Zidane has specifically requested for the Welshman to be gone, and his wish matches that of the club itself. However, it seems that the battle between the player and the club isn’t over, rather that it’s about to begin in earnest.

According to agent Jonathan Barnett, Bale is happy in Madrid, regardless of the fact that he still doesn’t speak Spanish and has no intention of leaving Santiago Bernabeu just yet. Quite apart from that, there doesn’t seem to be genuine interest in his services among the European elite clubs, and nobody is willing to match his wages of £14 million per year. His contract allows him to stay in the Spanish capital for three more years.

Meanwhile, there is no place for him in Zidane’s plans for the future, and he is only getting game-time at the moment in order to keep the former world’s most expensive player’s value at a respectable level. Bale is fully aware of that.
