Zidane to sign Griezmann for United?

There has been plenty of speculation about Jose Mourinho potentially getting his marching orders from Manchester United soon due to a disappointing start to the season, and the name that has been spoken the most as a possible replacement is former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.

There have already been reports about players the Frenchman would want at Old Trafford, and Le10Sport have now gone and added another – none other than Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann was on the verge of leaving Atletico Madrid for United in 2017, and then for Barcelona this summer, but neither move materialized in the ended. He rejected United’s offer last year because Atleti had been imposed with a transfer ban at the time and he didn’t want to leave them like that, without a possibility to sign a suitable replacement. This year he simply decided to stay in Diego Simeone’s team and signed a new deal, despite strong advances from the Catalans.

It seems the stories about his future are set to continue appearing for a long while yet.
